Who? Adrian Smith is slowly becoming the go-to mural artist in her community. In the summer of 2018, she took a mural painting class at Coastal Carolina University under Professor Cat Taylor.
When? After taking the Class in 2018 Professor Taylor invited Adrian to help with one of his mural projects that summer. In the spring of 2019, he brought her out as a co-artist on a mural at a local restaurant. Adrian was hired to do her first mural in 2023.
What? In the last stretch of 2024, Adrian has had 8 jobs since her first in 2023. Big and small. She enjoys bringing spaces to life with her original works. Her murals are all hand-painted.
Where? She is Located in Darlington, SC. She is slowly branching out having most of her work located in Florence and Hartsville, South Carolina.
How? Unless the client gives her free reign the client usually has an idea of the subject imagery that they would like to use. She examines and takes pictures of the space. Then, she makes sketches and mockups based on the client's idea. After the mock-up is approved a contract and invoice are sent to be signed and work gets started.
